2022 Arizona Poetry Out Loud Champion Advances to Final Round of Nationals

On June 5, 2022, Arizona’s 2022 Poetry Out Loud State Champion, Oscar Landa Samano, will be among the nine contestants to compete in the final round of the Poetry Out Loud National Finals. The winner will be named National Champion and will be awarded a $20,000 scholarship. A senior at Coconino High School in Flagstaff, Landa Samano won the title of State Champion in March, after having won school- and regional-level contests. Public Art & Murals Walking Tour – Tucson

Recent years have seen an explosion of public art throughout Tucson. This tour showcases both public art pieces and murals, including the artist, history of the piece, and many of the artists’ inspirations behind the pieces.
