Located roughly 30 miles from the 10, south of Willcox along Highway 191, you will find the ghost town of Pearce.
Pearce is named after Cornishman, James Pearce who discovered what would become the Commonwealth Mine (located just south of the ghost town). At its height in the year 1919, Pearce had a population of 1500. There are multiple buildings still standing in Pearce, including the jail, an adobe church, and the original General Store.
Pearce is a location that is easily accessible by simply driving to, pulling up and hopping out! In Sunsites, which is right next to Pearce, you will find food, lodging, and other amenities.
